Our Story

Our journey began in 2015, when our founders first started exploring the exciting world of cloud computing and containerization. We quickly became engrossed in Kubernetes, fascinated by its potential to revolutionize how applications are deployed and scaled.

As we worked with public cloud providers and managed Kubernetes offerings, we encountered several limitations. We found that these platforms often locked you into their ecosystems, limiting flexibility and driving up costs. While Kubernetes itself is powerful, we experienced the challenges firsthand: open-source technologies can require significant effort to configure, customize, and scale reliably.

Through years of hands-on experience, we successfully scaled applications and services to millions of users using Kubernetes. This journey taught us the importance of fine-grained control at both the operating system and application levels, often requiring significant customization and tweaking to achieve optimal performance and stability.

These experiences—the limitations of existing solutions, the challenges of open-source configurations, and the necessity for powerful customization at scale—became the driving force behind DCDeploy.
